CARE SUPPORT WORKER

FULL TIME CARE SUPPORT WORKERS

We are looking for a Care Support Worker to join our team on a 2 on 2 off on a rolling schedule.

Expected hours: 40 hours per week (Guaranteed 30 hours per week)

Description:

We are looking for an experienced carer to join our team. You will be required to work within a 25 mile radius of our office, based in West Chiltington.

You must have your own transport and be a self-motivated, caring individual with a good knowledge of the local area.

Duties:

• Provide care and support to people in their own homes, respecting their privacy and dignity.
• Maintain their independence and enhance their quality of life.
• Assist with all aspects of personal care and support for the elderly and people with disabilities.
• Assist with medication and ensure all information is recorded and records are maintained in accordance with West Sussex County Council framework.
• Assist with meal preparation, shopping and light domestic housework.
• Provide companionship for people with dementia. People with dementia may become confused and it is important to respect and assist with their emotional and physical wellbeing.

Requirements:

• Ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
• Use your own initiative and work independently as well as within a team.
• Be compassionate and understanding of other’s needs.
• Own transport is essential
• A minimum of 2 years experience within the health & social care sector
• A minimum of NVQ Level 2 or above in Health & Social care.
