About the Role:

The Medical People are seeking a skilled and experienced Advanced Nurse Practitioner or Clinical Practitioner to join a vibrant healthcare practice in Seafield, Aberdeen. The successful candidate will deliver expert care, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and evaluation, within a multi-disciplinary team. This part-time role offers the chance to make a significant impact in a supportive and forward-thinking practice.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the first point of contact for patients with undifferentiated or undiagnosed problems, whether they access the service via acute on-the-day appointments, routine bookings, or telephone triage.
• Assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate treatment and care for patients with both simple and complex needs.
• Conduct necessary diagnostic tests and interpret findings, making autonomous decisions regarding patient care.
• Admit patients to secondary care hospitals if needed and refer to other medical specialties for further assessment, including fast-track referrals.
• Prescribe medications and review their effectiveness, ensuring adherence to legislative frameworks and evidence-based practice.
• Manage both acute and chronic conditions, integrating drug and non-drug-based treatments into comprehensive care plans.
• Provide information and advice on medication regimens, side-effects, and interactions.

Requirements:

• Registered with a UK professional body (e.g., NMC, HCPC).
• Degree level registration qualification or equivalent post-registration award.
• MSC in Advanced Practice or equivalent, or willingness to undertake.
• Life Support qualifications.
• Non-Medical Prescribing qualification.
• Advanced clinical practice skills with significant experience in Primary Care.
• Proven ability to manage patients with long-term or complex conditions.
• Strong understanding of own competence and professional code of conduct.

About the Practice: Located in a modern health centre in the Seafield area of West Aberdeen, the practice serves 10,000 patients with a range of healthcare professionals. They offer various appointment types including telephone, face-to-face, and video consultations between 8am and 6pm, Monday to Friday. The practice provides ample parking and is close to local amenities.
