Location: Moresby Ind Est, Whitehaven (CA28), CA28
Salary: From £58,972 to £68,525 per annum

About the Role:
The Medical People is recruiting for a dynamic and experienced Nurse Consultant to join the Inpatient Care Group. This role is ideal for a motivated, values-driven professional with significant clinical experience and a proven track record in clinical leadership, change management, and innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert clinical nursing care and lead service development, education, and training within the Clinical Business Unit.
  • Exercise full responsibility and autonomy in client therapy, including assessment, formulation, and interventions.
  • Develop and implement frameworks to enhance nursing practice and strive for excellence in patient care.
  • Contribute to the strategic direction for nursing practice and communicate excellence to colleagues internally and externally.
  • Implement assessments and treatments for patients with learning disabilities, personality disorders, and mental illness, in line with the Mental Health Act.

Qualifications:

  • First level Registered Nurse.
  • Recognized teaching qualification.
  • Postgraduate qualification at Masters level or equivalent experience.
  • Advanced level therapeutic training in modalities such as nurse prescribing, CBT, DBT, PSI, EFT, NLP, or Family Interventions.

Experience:

  • Extensive experience in therapeutic interventions and nursing leadership.
  • Proven experience working with adults in a mental health setting, including application of the Mental Health Act.
  • Experience leading service development and working with various organizations.

Skills:

  • Excellent leadership and clinical skills.
  • Deep knowledge of trauma-informed approaches and therapeutic interventions.
