The work is person-centred, and we aim to help each individual to live as independently and fully as possible.
Our Care/Support workers provide daily support and personal care, and once fully trained will administer medication to our tenants. Duties may also include arranging daily activities, taking our tenants out on trips and activities, helping to prepare meals or attending sensory sessions at Wilberforce House. We also encourage tenants to develop and maintain positive relationships with family and friends.

The shift patterns are:
Every other weekend in and a mixture of early’s & lates, for example:
You must be available from 6.45 – 14.45 and/or 13.15 – 21.15 – depends on service care and contracted hours for exact times.
There are part-time and full-time positions available.

Social hours are Monday to Friday 7am-9pm, Unsocial hours are all other shifts.
We also offer a health package with Simply Health providing financial support for dental, optical and other health bills.
You will receive 20 days' holiday per year, plus bank holidays, increasing to 25 days plus bank holidays after 2 years’ service. 30 days holiday after your 10th year! Plus a day off to rest and enjoy your birthday!
There are opportunities to progress within the organisation, gain recognised qualifications including The Care Certificate and take on additional responsibilities.
All staff are supported to achieve the Care Certificate (if needed) and complete a successful induction period.
