Health Care Assistant in a Care Home

We are a small family run care home, with 12 elderly residents and we are looking for a caring individual to join our friendly care team to provide the best person centred care possible for our residents.

• Weekend pay enhancements, an extra £1 on a Saturday & extra £1.50 on a Sunday - our minimum rate is £9.70/hour, therefore, you would be paid £10.70 an hour on Saturday, and £11.20 per hour on a Sunday

A few of the main details:

We have two day care posts available and one night care post: 

• Day shifts: 30-36 hours a week (both roles as we have two posts available for 30-36 hours)
• Night shifts: Up to 18 hours a week, Thursday, Friday Saturday and Sunday nights (every or alternate) available. Please ask for more details
• 6 or 12 hour shifts (all night shifts are 12 hours)
• Shift times: 7am to 1pm, 1pm to 7pm, 7am to 7pm, or 7pm to 7am
• Day shifts including alternate weekends (every other) and an occasional night shift if cover is needed (very rarely)
• Assisting in personal care
• Ensuring that the residents physical and emotional needs are always met
• Helping with the preparation and serving of meals and drinks
• Assisting with activities for the residents, including taking them out for walks, nail painting, hand and foot massages, arts & crafts, bingo, quizzes, etc.
• Free uniform and DBS cost re-imbursed after 6 months employment
• New employees will receive a £200 joining bonus after passing their 12-week probation period, and another £200 after an additional 12-weeks (£400 bonus in total after 6 months employment)

Care experience is preferable, although full training will be given, we are looking for a quick learner with good use of initiative and able to multitask in a fast paced environment.
