We have an exciting and rewarding opportunity for a Bank Support Worker to join our friendly and welcoming team working at our Crisis Accommodation Service in Doncaster. You will work as part of a small team in a home from home environment where no two days will be the same.
Doncaster Crisis Accommodation provides short-term accommodation for people experiencing a mental health crisis. The service has 4 beds, which can be accessed for a maximum of 7 nights, during which time staff will provide emotional and practical support over a 24 hour period to assist people using the service to resolve their crisis. The service works in partnership with the statutory Crisis Resolution and Home Treatment Team.
The service also provides a 24 hour helpline which provides support and information relating to mental health issues.

You will have strong communication skills and a understanding of mental illness. But aside from that, being a Support Worker isn’t all about qualifications, if you have a passion for making a difference then we can provide you will all the training and support that you need. You can also take us up on our offer to support you through your NVQ in Health and Social Care qualification!
Your role will be a bank worker working as and when required by the service, you will work on a rota basis including unsocialble hours. You will receive an hourly salary of £9.91 - £10.88 as well as additional allowances such as unsocial hours uplift of 86p per hour and bank holiday rates of time and a half.
