We are looking to appoint someone who wishes to take on a career as a care giver within one of our beautiful care homes in Brentwood, Essex.
To have a genuine interest in and or experience of working with elderly people with and without dementia. To have the ability to communicate in English to an acceptable level. To have past relevant experience would be a plus. To always adopt a “Can do” attitude, to be caring, motivated and flexible and to be a Team Player.
We are also going to be offering full hands on experience along with providing the successful candidate with Health and Social Care qualifications! We can offer the Level 2,3,4 and 5 with fully funded by us.
Subsidized transport to and from the care homes is provided from Brentwood train station and high street Brentwood via our mini bus service.

St Michaels Homes Ltd comprises of two elderly care homes which are adjacent to each other. Howard Lodge and Dudbrook Hall, nestling in beautiful park-like gardens in Kelvedon Common on the outskirts of Brentwood, Essex, are surrounded by beautiful countryside with abundant wildlife including deer as regular visitors.
We are a family run company, established in 1991 with directors Sheila Watson and her children Claire, Peter and Sean. Sheila trained as a registered nurse and midwife followed by 25 years midwifery, followed by 5 years as a health advisor to the elderly, and obtained a diploma in gerontology. With this experience care of residents comes from the top down, this can be seen by the way residents are cared for by all staff.
Loneliness and feeling a burden in older age is a great and growing scourge of our society. You will not find lonely people in our care homes – you will find support, companionship and strong bonds of friendship.
