Established since 1992, we’re an award winning charity and not-for-profit organisation that provides first class care and support for older people and adults with learning disabilities. Today, we have 1,800 staff supporting over 2,000 residents at 58 services across Buckinghamshire, Bedfordshire, Berkshire, Hertfordshire, Milton Keynes and North London. Currently, we’re looking for an Opportunities Coordinator to join the team at Clifton House, a day service offering My Time to 74 residents with learning disabilities.
Clifton House is a welcoming and friendly home, specialising for physically disabled adults. The home has been designed to meet very high environmental standards, with wide corridors for easy wheelchair access. And, we want you to play your part to initiate an ongoing programme of leisure and recreational activities to a consistently high standard that match the interests of the residents.
You will be an enthusiastic and imaginative person with a warm and caring nature. You will need the drive to implement your ideas and be able to lead both group and individual activities. You will have a good attendance record and the ability to carry out the everyday duties of the role. Your enthusiastic work ethic will be teamed with the ability to deal with stressful situations and the ability to think on your feet at all times. You will have a consultative and responsible nature and ability to communicate clearly and respectfully with others. Specialist knowledge of the client group is desirable; in a role where treating everyone with respect and dignity and doing all you can to help enhance their quality of life will be key to your success.
