Residential Childcare Workers – (RCW) Worcester

My Client has Residential Support Worker (RSW) vacancies within Worcester to work with children and adolescents with emotional and behavioural issues and complex needs in residential childrens homes.

Essential Requirements

Candidates must be suitable to work with children & young people within a care setting(pre-employment checks)
Ability to communicate with young people forming and maintaining appropriate relationships and personal boundaries with young people.
Awareness of young peoples needs, safeguarding issues and ability to safeguard the welfare of young people.
Previous experience of looking after children.
Understanding challenging behaviour and methods of control.
Desirable Requirements

Current clean driving licence
Knowledge of Childcare legislation
Work in Juvenile Justice System
Salary & Benefits

£6.75 – £7.50 per hour depending on experience and qualifications.

You will be entitled to 224 hours holiday each year inclusive of bank holidays
Hours of work will be 40 hrs per week on a rota basis which will include weekends and nights.
Plus approximately 2 sleeps per week at £20/sleep which is approx £2080 extra per year
Rolling shift patterns so you will know in advance what days you will be working, shift pattern usually 1 shift on 2 off (1 shift is 24 hours, which includes the sleep shift).
On completion of a successful 6 month probationary period employees will be entered into th company Life Assurance & Pension Scheme where you will contribute 3% of your salary which will be matched by the employer.
Following 2 years service (at the date of the renewal scheme) you will have acces to the Simply Health Scheme which will provide you with £100 towards dental and optical costs.
Employees will be enrolled onto a Diploma Level 3 for the Children and Young Peoples Workforce course of study after completeing 6 month probationary unless they already hold this or an equivalent qualification.
