JOB PURPOSE: Supporting the home manager and taking charge when the manager is not in to ensure the smooth running of the home at all times.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND QUALIFICATIONS
1st or 2nd Level Nurse, with up to date NMC pin registration
Experience in the health and social care sector
Fully conversant with NMC guidelines and to keep updated
Self motivated and organised
An active team player and able to work on own initiative and as part of a team
Ability to communicate effectively, in English at all levels and give accurate information when required
Be registered on the Vetting and Barring Scheme and be in receipt of a satisfactory DBS certificate.
Honesty, consideration, empathy and patience
A flexible approach to working patterns and care
Willingness to undergo further extensive training to improve knowledge and care standards within the home.
